Albert J. Shimkus, Jr.
Albert J. Shimkus, Jr. is a graduate of West Chester University, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He also attended East Stroudsburg University and Hofstra University, earning a Master of Arts in Secondary Education with a concentration in Wind Band Conducting.
Mr. Shimkus has taught for several years in public and private schools, at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He is currently the director of bands at Notre Dame High School in Easton. A native of Nazareth, he resides in Allentown.
Don Kemmerer is a graduate of West Chester University where he completed a degree in Music Education. After graduation he taught instrumental music in the public school system.
Mr. Kemmerer has performed in many of the bands in the Lehigh Valley. In addition to assisting with the Easton Municipal Band and playing trumpet, he also directs the Bethlehem Area Moravian Trombone Choir and the Bethlehem Municipal Band.
He is a member of the American Federation of Musicians.
